Copying files between PCs
SmartClip transfers files directly between two computers. Copying and pasting works between Mac and Windows – without a USB stick or cloud upload.

TESmart's proprietary DP-1.4 EDID technology
The DP-1.4 EDID emulation developed by TESmart keeps display settings stable during switching. It reduces resolution changes, shifted icons, flickering, and re-detection of the display – even with high bandwidth and two displays.

Each DisplayPort 1.4 output supports up to 8K@60Hz for detailed work or up to 4K@144Hz und 1080p@240Hz for gaming and multitasking.

Gaming with two 4K@144Hz
G-Sync and FreeSync enable smooth, tear-free gaming. DSC supports stable 4K@144Hz165Hz output on both compatible displays.

USB & Audio independent assign
USB and audio can remain on the current source when switching displays. Deactivate Follow Mode via hotkey to switch USB and audio independently. This way, calls and devices remain active on the desired system.

[Compatibility] Which devices does the DKS202-MC24 support?
The DKS202-MC24 connects two DisplayPort computers to two DP monitors. Each computer requires two DP cables and one USB-B cable. This allows you to control, for example, two Windows PCs with one keyboard and mouse.
[Compatibility] Does SmartClip support Linux?
SmartClip currently only supports Windows and macOS. Linux support is planned. Please watch for future announcements from TESmart.
[Compatibility] Does the DKS202-MC24 support HDR and VRR?
Yes. The DKS202-MC24 supports HDR and VRR passthrough via DP 1.4. Both the display and GPU must support and have these features enabled. TESmart support is available to assist you with any issues.
[Compatibility] Does the DKS202-MC24 support G-Sync and FreeSync?
Yes. The DKS202-MC24 supports NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync via passthrough for smooth, tear-free, and stutter-free visuals. The display must support the respective technology, and it must be enabled on the GPU.
[Compatibility] Which one fits: DKS202-MC24, DKS202-M24 or DKS403-M24?
Choose DKS202-MC24 if two PCs with two DP-1.4 monitors also require cross-PC mouse control and file copying via SmartClip.
The DKS202-M24 offers the same dual 8K setup with DP 1.4 for two PCs, but without copying capabilities. This model is also suitable if no additional software installation is permitted.
For up to four PCs and three DP monitors, choose DKS403-M24.
[Functions] What is SmartClip and how does it work?
SmartClip is TESmart's software for working across multiple PCs and must be installed and running on both computers. In Display Mode 2, you move the mouse cursor over the edge of the screen to switch to the other PC; the keyboard controls will follow automatically.
Text, images, and files can be copied without a USB drive or network share. Data transfer occurs via USB between the PCs and the KVM. The physical KVM does not process or log your data internally.
[Functions] What content is inserted when I copy something on both PCs?
SmartClip uses a shared clipboard that is updated with every copy. If you first copy "X" to PC B and then "Y" to PC A, "Y" will be pasted onto PC B. The most recently copied content is always used.
[Functions] What is the maximum supported resolution?
DKS202-MC24 supports two 8K@60Hz mit DSC and is backwards compatible with 4K@144Hz. Auch 2K@240Hz, 1080p@240Hz, 32:9 ultrawide at 120 Hz and 21:9 at 144 Hz are possible. Actual output depends on computer, display, cables, and display mode.
[Functions] Which display modes does the DKS202-MC24 support?
Mode 1 displays one PC on both monitors as an extended or mirrored desktop. Mode 2 displays PC 1 on Monitor 1 and PC 2 on Monitor 2. Press the right Alt key twice to switch keyboard and mouse controls.
[Functions] What does EDID emulation do?
Each input has an EDID emulator. When switching between inputs, each PC still recognizes the display as connected. This helps to preserve icons and window positions, and prevents resizing and flickering.
[Functions] Does SmartClip work with only one monitor or only one installation?
Basic 8K video output, as well as keyboard, mouse, USB, and audio switching, will continue to function. However, some SmartClip features, particularly cross-PC mouse control and file transfer, will not work correctly. We recommend using two monitors and SmartClip on both PCs.
[Switch] How do I switch between connected devices?
The DKS202-MC24 offers a button on the device itself, an IR remote control, keyboard hotkeys, and a mouse wheel for switching between functions. The mouse wheel function must first be activated.
[Furnishings] Do I need to install drivers or software?
Display switching, as well as keyboard and mouse, work via plug-and-play without driver installation. For cross-PC mouse control and file sharing, SmartClip must be installed and running on each computer.
