1. Order processing time
The order processing time refers to the period from the time of the order until the order is handed over to the shipping service provider.
• Orders are usually shipped within 1-2 working days after confirmation/payment.
• Orders placed on weekends may be subject to delays.
• Our warehouse operates Monday to Friday during regular business hours (excluding public holidays). In such cases, we will make every effort to minimize shipping delays.
We have warehouses in Germany and other regions. Your order will be shipped directly from the nearest warehouse, depending on your delivery address. If the nearest warehouse does not have the product in stock, we will ship your order from another nearby warehouse to ensure you receive it as quickly as possible.

To improve keyboard and mouse compatibility – especially when switching hotkeys – we have developed two special connection modes:
• Pass-through mode (recommended)
Direct routing to the PC. Supports advanced drivers, macros, high-DPI mice, and multifunctional input devices. Ideal for gaming, design, and professional workflows.
• Legacy emulation mode
Ensures universal compatibility and stable hotkey functionality on most systems. Best suited for office use or when experiencing driver issues.
✅ Hotkey commands only work if your keyboard is connected to the dedicated K&M-Port is connected.
⚠️ In emulation mode, driver-based software and advanced features are disabled.
⚠️ Bluetooth keyboards and mice are not supported.
⚠️ Legacy emulation mode is available via firmware update (Prime-23 series).
FAQs
How can I use the keyboard and mouse between different computers?
In Display Mode 2 (i.e., when two monitors display different computer screens), the keyboard/mouse focus can be switched independently to control different computers. Instructions: The KVM switch's LCD display shows the current status in real time: The leftmost number indicates which computer the keyboard/mouse focus is currently on (e.g., "1" for PC1, "2" for PC2). Hotkey switching: Press [Right Alt] → [Right Alt] to switch the keyboard/mouse focus between different computers. Tip: Switching the keyboard/mouse focus does not affect the video display; the video layout remains configured as in Display Mode 2.
What should I do if my keyboard and mouse stop working after upgrading to macOS Tahoe?
The macOS Tahoe system uses a proprietary protocol that can cause compatibility issues with the KVM switch, resulting in the keyboard and mouse not being recognized. This issue can be resolved with a firmware update. Please contact our technical support team to obtain the firmware package compatible with macOS Tahoe and follow the provided instructions to perform the update.
Can this KVM switch 4K@144Hz- oder Supports 8K displays?
No. The HDK404-P23 supports HDMI 2.0 with a maximum resolution of 4K (2160p) @60Hz and is backward compatible with 2K (1440p) @60Hz/120Hz. Note: The PC1/PC2 DP input ports support MST (Multi-Stream Transport), which allows simultaneous output to up to three monitors. However, due to bandwidth limitations, the maximum supported combination in MST mode is two. 4K@60Hz-Monitore und a 4K@30Hz-Monitor.
Can switching cause the host computer's resolution to reset or windows to be rearranged?
No. The HDK404-P23 has an EDID emulator that prevents loss of resolution or refresh rate and avoids the reorganization of windows when switching between computers.
Does the KVM support both Mac and Windows environments?
Yes. The HDK404-P23 is compatible with a wide range of operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Unix, and Linux-based systems such as Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, and Raspbian (including support for Raspberry Pi). It works well in mixed operating system environments without additional configuration.
Does the KVM switch support firmware updates?
Yes, TESmart KVM switches support official firmware updates designed to fix common problems and improve compatibility.
Important NOTE:
Firmware updates carry inherent risks. Installing the wrong version or performing the process incorrectly can lead to device malfunctions. Therefore, it is strongly advised against performing a firmware update yourself if your device is functioning normally.

Why are my keyboard and mouse not working properly?
Common symptoms:
- Keyboard input is unresponsive or delayed
- Keystrokes get stuck or are registered twice
- Mouse movements lag or stutter.
- Keyboard shortcuts (hotkeys) are not working.

Why do the monitors connected to OUTPUT B, C and D flicker or go black when displaying video from PC1/2?
The DP input ports of PC1/PC2 support MST (Multi-Stream Transport) and allow video output to multiple monitors simultaneously.
Bandwidth limitation
In MST output mode, the maximum supported configuration is two 4K@60Hz-Monitore und a 4K@30Hz-Monitor. VersTry reducing the resolution or refresh rate of a monitor to stay within the total available bandwidth.
Port restriction
Ensure that the DisplayPort connection you are using supports DP 1.2 or later. Using a USB-C (with DP Alt Mode) or Thunderbolt connection with a USB-C to DP docking station, adapter, or cable can lead to compatibility issues and unstable signals. It is recommended to use a native DP connection whenever possible and avoid converters or docks.
EDID read error
Compatibility differences between the MST function of the HDK404-P23 and your input device can lead to EDID detection errors, which can affect display stability. Please contact our technical support team for further diagnosis and assistance.
